The fact it looks identical to the TB. Not from a vanity perspective, but a familiarity one.

You're happy with your x0xb0x though arent ya mate?

However, I'd kill to have the ability to edit while the pattern is running.
I believe yours can do this...

Yes you can edit whilst playback in pattern edit mode and chain patterns etc. Think there's been a recent rom update to the x0x but not looking into that at the moment.

I'm okay with the x0x, as you guys have mentioned I'm struggling to get the squelch sound...but the bass in your face (aka Blade Trinity) square pattern...spot on ;) I'm contemplating getting a TR3...but I think that ABL3 will knock that of the to get list...and of course the Wolf maybe interesting, hence holding off on the TR8 for a standalone DM, aside to Maschine.

Got the Elektron AK which I am not gelling with....so may sell that and get a phattyII and other kit...

TR3 just sounds terrible, don't get it. Yes, ABL3 will be much better, even ABL2 is much better.

If you mean Little Phatty Stage II (which I had owned for a long time), don't get it, Sub Phatty has a much better filter, and other nicer features.

there were a few FW modifications (marOS and omskOS), and an update to sokkos (to v2.0)
and, mostly, a new cpu upgrade, thus there is also n0nx0x2 with .. some interesting features :D
sokkos2.0 is also available for the cpumod
It doesn't matter how it sounds..
..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD!

have to say, sokkos 2 has revived my x0x - thanks to antto's supreme
x0x app(whose name eludes me right now): makes firmwaring it a doddle
-and i have yet to try his nonx0x. the x0x is now really easy to use.

you say you can't edit the tt303 while running? aaw...how about getting
a volca bass to program it, just an idea, bcs that is really easy and
quick(ah no accent though, and maybe the slides won't work the same)

And forego the TB/TT sequencer?
Naughty boy for even suggesting such a thing.

I found the solution to this last night quite by accident.

Intall four C batteries in it. They weight it down just enough for it to remain planted.

I was using mine last night to sequence my Alpha Juno 2. Oh boy this is a lot of fun

ok, so i've had a go on a TT303, and it mighty fine.
one observation i have though is that its range seems
different, more limited than my x0x(shop.de) where
you set the decay long and whack up the resonance
and play on the cutoff/envmod to get that long pHizzzz
(no f's involved, pH all the way). as a result, i'm going from
knob to knob trying to find the sweet spot, and of course end up
accidentally hitting the 'tune' knob., which you don't really want
to be doing at that point. must be the same on tb303s.
having said that though, the accent on my x0x seems quite hard
and brutal by comparison. but i've been getting a lot more joy out
of it since i went over to sokkos OS as said before, and staying
busy on the knobs. much happier with my x0x now.
tough call. room for both maybe :hihi:

Post

mmm edit on that: had both running together and they sound
very different, the TT is more authentic, hard to fault really.
now got a bit of a downer on the x0x :scared:
