Hi Ingo. Well, I don't want internal fx (not for a price anyway!) but after fuzz is FX in the menu. I guess that must be an overall FX level or maybe they will add more options in a software update. When you say "expansion board" you mean a bit of hardware you put inside the pulse??? The FX will be digital unless there will be a small tape machine in there???
I would maybe be interested in some internal fx like bitcrusher/decimator and stereo widener for example.

Yes, "expansion board" means additional hardware board that goes inside the Pulse. That's why there's a physical connector on the PCB inside. The effects don't have to be digital. Could be a nice BBD chorus/flanger, etc.

Yes I forgot about that. I would be interested in some analouge delay & time based fx in the pulse.

Thanks, this synth is really intresting, great features and fair price.namnibor wrote:Here's a rather new Pulse 2 video that won Waldorf's Monthly Video Contest. May have to watch it's less than few minutes a couple times to catch everything. The stipulations are that it has to be about Waldorf gear and all music/sounds must come from same. Enjoy!

I have problems upgrading the firmware of my pulse 2 using windows. I know Ableton does not send sysex, any suggestions for a work-around or open source sequencer?
Best,

The reason why I want to update my firmware is to see if it solves the problem I have.
As in the attached file I always receive a tone around 1k regardless of preset. Any thoughts on why that might be?

Thanks!
I have now updated but the sound artifacts around 1 kHz are still there. Any ideas what they could be?

I'll meet the Waldorf developers next week at Musikmesse which gives the opportunity to discuss a few things personally beyond writing emails.
The developers of the Pulse 2 should be at the Musikmesse (Frederic who also posted here for sure...) so those who want to suggest certain features or want to talk about possible bugs could do that there if they participate this year.
I will be at the Musikmesse at Friday, 14th. Anyone else here participating there?
If yes i guess i will spend a lot of time at the Waldorf booth (of course also at others) and would be pleased to meet KVR members there.

Pulse 2 2.0 with OSC control over Ethernet port! 32 bit control
jokes apart 14 bit CC for at least Filter Cutoff, Osc Pitch/Frq. would be great. Better for every parameter for true expressive control via MIDI

Did anybody notice, that after Waldorf put up their new site, that OS 1.13 for the Pulse 2 is gone?
There is only version 1.11 now, which I find a little strange...
Also.. I reported a bug in OS 1.13 some time ago about the BPM setting being off by one or two... if you set the BPM to 120 on the Pulse 2, and also 120 on your sequencer, they don't match up if the Pulse2 is not recieving MIDI clock.
Now I know that by not MIDI clock sync'ing, you'd eventualy get out of sync at some point, but this is different because you can get them to run at the same BPM by lowering the BPM in the pulse2 by 1 or 2. The difference in speed is hearable from the moment you start playback on both.
I did not recieve an answer from Waldorf on this, and still have not.

Turn your speakers down and tune the filter. It's in the utility menu.daddylongleggaren wrote:Thanks!

Yeah I notice that yesterday. 1.13 is gone. I thought i might have missed something in these threads some time ago but I guess Waldorf may have another OS update due soon.
