Is it possible to convert midi coming out of a daw to CV via the beatstep? EG could I use the midi effects in Ableton to control a modular synth via the Beatstep?

Hope it´s ok if i borrow your thread for a moment...
Just got my Beatstep and I just can´t figure out how to change the key of a sequence in real-time.
Do any of you know how to do it?
I´m using Cubase 6 elements, Presounus FP10, Korg MS-20 mini and of course the Arturia Beatstep.
I really need a step-by-step guide to do this as I am a beginner at most of theese things.

I don't have it in front of me but I think when you hold Shift, the tempo encoder transposes the whole sequence.
