win7 64. i5
e-mu 1212m pci
the cracks & pops persist in my newest pc build.
can't tweak away the mobo pci driver issues though it was stable in my last box.
(64bit plugs seem to crash more, too oddly)
I believe I will be much happier if I bite the bullet and pick up a steinberg ur-22.
true or false?

i moved from an emu 0404 usb to a ur22. the 0404 usb was great on XP but a click and popfest on win 7, at least in asio mode, even with large buffers (was rock solid when just listening to music... go figure). the ur22 has been mostly invisible, no real issues. i liked the sound of the emu (slightly) better. you'll probably be happy with the ur22.
