I kinda hope it's a new instrument, one that breaks with the classic keyboard shape paradigm.
The little 5 seconds teaser looks like another multi-touch thing for sure.
An iPad app........ :hihi:
A Rise 2 with integrated multi-touch screen as XY(Z) pad?
Even not sure if it´s hardware.
But since they say it´s a new thing..... :?: :?: :?:

It's up on their site: https://roli.com/

ROLI Blocks. I'm definitely interested once they stop being iOS only. Compelling form factors and price, though!

I´m a bit dissapointed but i think iOS is the future for such products. I would not wonder if Apple buy them one day....
I would like to see a full Equator on an iPad Pro (which i would still prefer over this blocks).
Mac is dead and windows not relevant (for this kind of tools).
Welcome to the new shape of DJ....ähhh music.

30ms latency over bluetooth.....that´s bad. So bluetooth is not a good option for connection.
I wonder if it has velocity and aftertouch etc.

Thats certainly how its marketed but since it apparently works as a midi controller over USB it isnt quite as limited to that as it might appear.

I hope the playing surface feels very similar to the seaboard rise (apart from the lack of key waves) because I just ordered one. 2-3 week shipping estimate means I will be left to my imagination for a while.

Fear ye not, there is already a FAQ for using it with a computer:

Welcome to the future :borg:
They even sell it in App Stores.
But i must say that i also think that iOS will have the more interesting tools in near future.
On desktop only the sample libraries and a few FX stands out.

They did tell me ages ago that Noise would one day be available for Android. Someone wake me up if it happens.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

Thanks! I saw that and got a lot more excited, especially since the Max functionality is similar to the RISE.

With that, I definitely plan on buying one soon. That's an excellent price for an MPE controller. It seems like a great controller for experimenting with patches on airplanes.

Someone here had the same issue. You should contact the Roli support.
But yeah, annoying for sure.
I'm having this same issue all of a sudden. xibalba, did you find out what it was?

I'm kind of... meh... about this one. It seems like this would be better served as an iPad Pro app instead of hardware. At least they kept the price point reasonably low, but I don't think they've made a compelling argument for the advantages yet. Maybe looking at this strictly as a Monome alternative it might make sense...
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Just be warned. New Noise app completely destroys previous Noise app functionality and while previous version was great example how you can use 5D touch technology using any controller, new one doesn't seem usable with anything else than Blocks hardware - so DON'T UPDATE if you used old app for something meaningful.
