Well done, Behringer! I am totally getting one of these. Sounding so good and loads better than Arturia Minimoog V and NI Monark.

According to a Swedish site ( https://www.gear4music.se/sv/Keyboards- ... modul/28TD ) the synth will be available 20 - 22 Mars.

for the price it is a no-brainer. it is the real thing in all but name.
apparently they're shipping the next batch in March.

Preordered! Plus I was able to score 12% off, so only spent $263.99 in the end including shipping.

Oh, and here's an awesome video I stumbled upon showcasing FM sounds...

still in Pre-Order??? after one YEAR??

They've just started shipping; factory relocation (and other stuff - like prolly very carefully fine tuning it) delayed its release.

For $299 I'm willing to wait until the next batch. Based on the Sweetwater video the sound seems good. It does seem really compact especially if you have big hands, but for me I think it would be okay. Hopefully the build quality is okay, but Daniel Fisher seemed to think so.

Model D is now in stock in a number of UK retailers.

Doesn't really sound "loads better" than Monark. It does sound better than Arturia, tho. :)

I'll stick with Legend.

Judging by the demos, i thought so too. Combined with a bit of hesitance to go the hardware way (really, even if it sounds better, you will go on buying stuff anyway, plus the lots of disadvantages compared to "in the box"), i think i'll stick to Monark as well. :)

You think so ? I think it sounds thicker than all the VSTi I've heard (and the thickest soft synth I have is Spire). Although I can make my soft synths sound rather fat with some plugins behind. Then again I don't have space for hardware, so I''ll stick with VSTi (which are also more versatile), but I think this model D sounds :phones: :phones: :phones:

And I can only commend Behringer with coming up with such amazing products so competitively priced lately (since the X32 really, the product that marked the rebirth of the brand).

I just put in an order for one. It’s the closest my budget will let me get to a hardware Mini. I have no idea how I’ll use it since I am so used to VSTis and doing things ITB. But I am really looking forward to this. I almost bought an MS-20 mini for $270, glad I held off.
Running Logic Pro 10.4 under Sierra on a late 2012 27" iMac wth 24 GB RAM :tu:

I'm probably alone in this but Monark never did a thing for me, I've found more use out of the Arturia one even... playing it again it's that it's too crisp and tinny on the high end, more like a modern DCO synth, but it's got a good growl. I can totally see using it in a song, but to me anyway it doesn't sound like a Moog. I would never ascribe crisp to a Moog.

To be fair though this is a common theme with emulations to me, the extended range and whatever aliasing is left after oversampling etc. makes them much more "in your face" than hardware analog synths.
