I bought A UFX II a month a go. It's great...all the DAW and audio programms like Lounge Lizards are working very smooth with it.
There is just one problem: All the other programs don't "see" the RME. Only the internal audio system Realtek. This means I can't play Spotify, etc. thru de RME. I didn't have this problem with the RME babyface. Alle the software is "fresh"and the RME is updated with the latest drivers (and the cable is in good shape).

I've got the same problem as the person who started this thread, but updating my UFX II didn't help. I can't see the RME "Under the speaker icon", just the internal audio form realtek:

I do see the RME in the  configuration screen. I had a plan...to disable all the audio except the RME (hoping that the system would choose the only option...the RME): Rebooted... it stayed the same....(no RME to be seen) except there is no sound at all...so I get warnings that there is an audio problem...right..funny stuff.

I use the interface for recording, but also for live mixing bands...combined with the RME Remote app for the ipad is great!!!! Before the shows I also play the music before and after te band ...so having things like Spotify working with the RME is important for me.

Anyone any suggestions? How to get the RME "seen" by the sytem...not just in the programs were I can say: use the RME  ...""

You have to tell your pc that it is allow to be seen bij windows

go to your Rme Settings
Click on "WDM Devices -> Configure ...and choose which output you want the system sounds go to....and you are done.
