Guitarist - Setting Loop Lenght

Hello, maybe it's obvious but not to me. How does one go about setting the loop length? I saw an older post that the loop indicator markers don't show in the GUI and that it is a known bug - but without the markers how does one set the loop length?

When I go to set-up a new sequence or adjust a preset it seems to randomly set a loop length. I'm sure it's not random.
