CMPlay for Logic Audio 5.5.1

I run Logic Audio 5.5.1 and can load CMPlay and can load patches / multi patches but can't get my keyboard controller to make a sound from the loaded patches. I understand this is because CMPlay is a v.2.4 VST and older Logic can't play the newer vst's but are there any wrapper or bridge vst's out there that could bridge the gap between an old sequencer and newer vst's as I really like Logic Audio?
