Hey there!

I finally got my hardclipping peak limiter working. It souunds great in GarageBand and AU Lab.

But there seems to be a problem when I switch the bit precision to 64bit... It sounds awful!!!

Here is a link to the .sbc file. PErhaps I just did a mistake within my calculations... Could anyone please check?

Thx in advance...

I can confirm that my plug-ins sound... "different" when I switch to 64 bit. Maybe there is a bug.

Without getting technical, let's just say that as a rule of thumb:

if it sounds good it sounds good.

So in this case, leave it. there are ways to get 64 bit internal double precision to help out, but in this case, just leave 64 bit off if it sounds great already.

Very strange. Not only does the plug clip all audio when in 64 bit mode but varying the threshold slider while playing audio results in audible clicks and pops. I don't know why this would be.

I was surprised when I switched to 64 bits.
But, as blackboyrockinit said - if it works in 32bit I will use it in 32 bit.

I works and sounds as I wanted it to.

But it seems that the bit precision settings behave very different from each other.
Perhaps it's really a bug in SB.
