by default i've always made my .fxbs for plugins for 128 presets..

this is great for synths et c. but for some plugs i'm wondering if it's a bad idea, eg. syng2, with it's massive gui (multiple word displays..) might end up making for pretty hefty .fxbs, which are loaded with song in some hosts...

any opinions? anyone love 128, no troubles reloading songs slowly?

Never had a problem with songs reloading slowly with 128 fxbs or more accurately if I have I haven't realised as its not something I can measure

I actually prefer 32 or 64 slots. 16 always seems too small and unless they're logically organised 128 is too many. Just my 2 cents :-)

cheers, i think i've noticed a few extra seconds load time based on gui-heavy vst in eXT (saves bank with song)

Ah! I always have a lllllooooonnnnnggggg loading time with the first track I load into eXT. I just thought it was doing its VST scan in the background because subsequent loads in the same session are quicker

my song projects usually take a while to load (1.4.1) inserting vst never more than a few seconds tops.

curious, tho i expect smaller patch banks is the only thing i can do that would affect it.
