I can't remember where I saw the advert... on line somewhere. It was for a PCI ram expansion module that could be used with windows XP and would make BFD2 load in about 1/2 the normal time.

Does anyone know about a product like this?

Probably not ram but storage.
I think you are referring to a PCI-X SSD card something like this.

Just a plain SSD will give the same results, if not better.

If your mobo will handle more ram than Xp can handle (4Gigs/switched) I've used this for ages, before (and since) SSD became available.

You assign (direct/load) anything to it, just like it were a 'drive', and you're good-to-go.
