Loving Arp but the GUI is a bit small so i have some Frs.

A larger GUI for editing.

Clearer step markers with more definition on the quarter, eights and bars.

Semitone steps on the sequencer would be great!

More mod sequencers! :D

Cheers!

Haha, you don't want much :)

The trouble with making the GUI bigger is it either becomes a bigger plugin or features will have to move to separate panels, is it the buttons you find too small?

The main sequencer is locked to semitones already? Or do you mean markers?

I suppose more mod sequencers wouldn't hurt (do they ever?) Another 4? One thing to bear in mind is the amount of midi data being sent on every step might pose a problem without some queueing which is what I had to do with Pulse.

Another request going in is to add a row of lights to the sequencer which will display the mono sequence or the first triggered when polyphonic :)

Actually that was my short list! :hihi:

I was thinking a seperate larger gui for editing and setting up patches. It's just ergonomic really, it's a bit small on my monitor but it's a couple of feet from head. Resolution is 1440x900 fwiw.

Yeah markers on the semitones, again just a visual thing for reference. Yeah four sounds good. I use it with Trilian to modulate the main page controls so it would be great to modulate a few more. :)

The last one sounds interesting but not quite sure what it means, how will it display the sequence?

Cheers!

I had another play with it yesterday and main problem i have is when extending the sequence over two bars. The steps are a bit small for keeping an overview on the sequence so i have to really concentrate! But it's not too bad, i just pull the monitor a bit closer to my head. :)

Anyway, i recommend this for anyone lookimg for a sequencer for their hardware synths, i use it with a mopho and it's awesome for creating ties and slides, very 303 like and the scale mode is excellent! :D

So it's the actual sequence bars that pose the problem?

The lights will show the current sequence position in mono mode or for the first triggered sequence.

I'm still full on with the new website at the moment, so an update will be a little while.. I could do without the website update really, but the core of it is 5-6 years old so it's been on the cards for a while :)

Yeah basically, it's just a little hard to keep track of the step edits over two bars. It would be easier if the step markers were clearer underneath for quickly finding a point in the sequence.

Btw are there midi cc assignments for the controls? I looked in the manual but couldn't see anything.

Oh yeah, Arp doesn't work in SO2, crashes at startup. I'm running the demo so don't know if it's working in the latest update (i can't log into my account on the Presonus website so can't check for updates/fixes or post on the forums).

Cheers!

Ok, I'll see what I can do, I thought it worked in presonus, I'm sure I tested it, I'll have another look.

CCs, you know I don't think I got around to setting them up actually, they all support VST automation though so you can map through hosts.

I'm still working on the new website so it may be a little while before the next update, but I'll do my best to get all your features in, although splitting into panels may be impossible without destroying backward compatibility.

Thanks Andy. :)

Maybe it's just me  but if i want to create a repeating sequence over two bars it gets a bit tricky repeating the steps from 17-32.

Atm i'm using Cantabile to set up the patch so it's not too bad but i need to focus to find a point in the sequence. What about a copy and paste function to extend the sequence instead?

In S1 it keeps saying Arp skipped cause it crashed before so it's as if it's not scanning it at all.

I've just gotta go out so i'll finish posting in a bit. :)

V1.5 is out now, I haven't enlarged the GUI but I've put some colour coding for the steps which should make it easier I hope, plus the lights for seeing which step is playing. On top of that there is now double and quad features which will copy either the 1st 16 beats to the last, or repeat the first 8 beats to the end. There is also a copy/paste for copying the sequence data between presets.

Let me know how it goes :)

The ARP doesn't seem to be working. Chord and scale mode still work but sequencer and arp aren't outputting. Also getting stuck notes when i play a chord. :(

Yes, sorry I updated v1.52 fairly soon afterwards, I was hoping before anyone had downloaded it, this one will be fine :)

I was going to +1 the larger guis(yay! more work for you!:hihi: ), then I remembered, I have not checked out the latest HG plugin Arp, which I will :D.

Also, the new site.. :-o Nice work!

It's a tricky one increasing the GUI size unfortunately, I'm still thinking about how to do it..

and thanks :) Still lots to do on it, but at least it's clean and working unlike the old one :)

Awesome, will try it!

Yep, working now! :D Like the new features, make it really fast to build the sequence and navigation is way better. :)

I've got a couple of other suggestions if you're interested. Anyway, loving the update, thanks! :)
