The current behaviour at hand when changing patches.
Changing patches with a held note: Global Note Off is called, but audio engine still runs which allows stuff like delay buffers to continue seamlessly.
Changing patches with no notes held but an audible sound is still present: Cuts off the audio engine till the next note on, causing stuff like delay buffers to 'continue' suddenly. May be awkward since there's complete silence, press one note and you suddenly hear a delay trail from the previous patch.
Could it be so that when there are no notes, just allow the audio engine to run as normal to avoid this? (Considering you've made it switch off when there's nothing audible.)
Thanks in advance.
BUG: Audible awkward behaviour between patch changes.

Hi Malice, yeah, a long long time ago, I cleared all FX buffers on patch-change... maybe that's the best behavior. The order of the FX can change btw patches and it can sound pretty bad to switch patches while playing...MaliceX wrote:The current behaviour at hand when changing patches.

At the moment, the current version I have doesn't clear the delay buffer, and starts again with stuff retained from the previous patch once the audio engine turns on again from the first NoteOn.JonasNorberg wrote:Hi Malice, yeah, a long long time ago, I cleared all FX buffers on patch-change... maybe that's the best behavior.
