Well, I admit it. I'm stumped. I've checked the manual but in going through it, I've noticed that the manual does not match the synth so the latest updates must have made some significant changes since the 2014 manual was printed. As a result, I have no idea how to do what I'm trying to do and I've gone through every inch of this synth.
This is what I'm trying to do, what I've found and what I haven't found.
I am trying to do a simple LFO modulation (of any kind) on oscillator 1.
What I've found:
I've found the mod 1 control at the bottom of the synth. When opening it, I have found parameters for assigning mod 1 shape to the oscillator, or just about anything that can be controlled by an LFO.
What I haven't found.
How to actually control this via either mod wheel, pressure sensitivity or whatever. In fact, I can't even get the effect to take place. Whatever I do in mod 1, I hear no actual change in the oscillator modulation.
Therefore, I am assuming that I have to, in some way, "attach" mod 1 to the parameter in the oscillator section that I want to modulate. I have tried doing this via the learn function of mod 1 but when I "learn" the oscillator semitone or any other pitch parameter, it doesn't actually oscillate. It's just a fixed pitch.
Obviously, I am doing something wrong.
So...can somebody please post step by step instructions on how to do the following.
Assign LFO 1 to oscillator 1 in order to create a vibrator effect to be controlled...
1) Via mod wheel
2) Via aftertouch
I assume the only difference between these two patches will be the slot where I designate either mod wheel or aftertouch as the modulating source.
Thank you.

I guess you forget to turn on the modulator, they have an enable button.
Midi stuff can be assigned in the midi setup, button in lower right corner.
Did you look at the tutorial video series, they give a short overview but some things you ask are covered (not in too much detail though, but it should help I guess).

There are special tutorials for the modulators also:

Thanks. Figured it out once I turned the button on (didn't see it) and heard what was going on. Then I figured maybe I could then assign a controller (M1, M2, etc.) to the mod (mod 1, mod 2, etc.) and yes, it works.ZentralmassivSound wrote:I guess you forget to turn on the modulator, they have an enable button.

It's a few more steps than I'm used to with other synths but the upside is this is a very flexible configuration.
Eventually, I will get the hang of this thing but this was a major breakthrough for me.
Mod X can be controlled via M x.
Cool.
