Stupid Question

I've been going crazy with Mesa Winds trying to figure this out. What midi CCs does it use, for example, for controlling expression/volume? Checked the manual and vid tutorials but I must've missed it.

There are no stupid questions!

MesaWinds only uses CC1 for vibrato and CC7 for volume. CC11 is not used as far as I can tell. Other articulations are switched via non-latching keyswitches (programmable).
