Only poor people are socialists. Once someone gives them a hand to the top, their story changes!
The following statement is true.
The previous statement is false.

I doubt it. most poor people are just poor and longing for a better condition, not damn socialists.daGuru wrote:You claimed it was OPEN, your logic is flawed, sir
I really can't see what's this terrible problem that the evil, rich and nazi registered users musts face.
once you'll own something, the picture will be clearer

It's funny you should mention that- the legal version of Reaktor 3 would crash whenever you loaded ensembles made with a cracked version. NI changed this with the 3.05 update; the ensemble would open AND you'd get a text box saying that the ensemble was made with a cracked version.LIMITAPROACHINGINFINITY wrote:aMUSEd wrote:Thats irrelevent - the point is if you don't own Reaktor why would you need to be part of a community sharing Reaktor ensembles? duh
I have nothing against setting up alternative Reaktor communities to share knowledge and skills - the more the merrier - but this pretense there's something "closed" about the user library is pathetic. Its a USER library - nothing more nothing less.
Because the people that legally own it should be able to download ensembles from people that pirated it but happen to be good ensemble creators!!! Why punish the legal owners if the non-legal owners will get it one way or another! Let the illegal owners share their creations.. Just because its from a pirated reaktor doesnt make their creations less significant! DUH!
As far as your argument about ensembles go, they (the pirates) can always put them up on their own personal sites. I haven't seen the figures lately, but my Reaktor pages used to have well over a gig a month in downloads- and a lot of my stuff's in the library as well, so your registered users would probably go there...
I'm with aMUSEd here; the wording rubs me the wrong way. "A more artist and programmer oriented environment"... the Reaktor forum at NI is whatever the people who visit it make it into. The user library creator section is all about programming, and Rick's little contests and the like keep the artist side going. And, as had been said, you don't have to be a NI product owner to post- all you have to do is register.
I'm all for alternative Reaktor communities myself; the more the merrier. I do object to the thought that the NI Reaktor community's not artist or programmer friendly- that's what we who make the community are, after all.

Go ahead and launch your User Library for warez users.
Not only does advocating warez useage on KVR a fool-proof means of getting perma-banned, but when NI hears about your selfless desire to exploit their commercial product, I'm sure your ISP is going to get a phone call from NI's lawyers.
Something tells me NI has a little bit more money for court than you do, Robin Hood.
Next l0s3r, plz..

And then see here where he's a dev, not a pirate:daGuru wrote:(edit: I should qualify this flip remark .. hehe.. I'm a socialist from way back. I believe that if you are in a place of power, you should reach your hand down to lift your poor brother up to your level, instead of treading on them, on the way to the top)
ps. Don't steal children, it's bad
And finally, see who actually started the "RUG":daGuru wrote: In fact, I'm releasing GOMP in the next few weeks and thinking about this issue very hard, since GOMP has it's own scripting language.... It's a tuff one... but, I'm leaning the OPEN path, in fact, I don't even want to bother with serials and usb keys and all that.... I'm going to rely on the fundamental good nature of people.... hehe... Is it still there? ..... Hope so
There's a few Reaktor devs that put out free ensembles on their own sites, but NOT on the NI User Library because of issues they have with NI, not because they're pirates. Pirates may share warez, but I doubt that they'd share stuff like ensembles and the like, you know.. stuff they actually worked at creating?PhoenixNine wrote: Thanks and hope to see all you Reaktor developers and users there Wensday! We belive this new community has real promise with the right user support.

This is a contradiction in terms. To me, it roughly translates into 'I'm all about sharing software that people can't afford', then he says, 'Don't steal' as an afterthought.Dominus wrote:daGuru wrote:(edit: I should qualify this flip remark .. hehe.. This all by itself is amusing. If calling this guy out for endorsing warez warrents me getting banned, then go ahead and ban my ass..Dominus wrote:Damn sickle, looking for another ban?
