Yeahyeah; I've totally been absent-minded so here goes posting without keeping up to date at all.
Even though I'd rather do live-stuff without all the hassle of this miniature programming I must confess it does reward. Made entirely of drum-software only (with the exeption of Rez of which an arpegio was converted into a drumsequence)
Listen at your own risk (128 bpm!!! so yes its dance-music!)

Hi Mark,
Nice to hear you branching out into something new
Its a little too techno for my personal tastes, but in general I like it. Some nice effects in there, which is what this kind of techno track needs. i love the pitch shifting / comb type of effect that runs all the way through.
My only real criticism would be of the mix. Its lacking quite a bit of punch. Some gratuitous compression, EQ and distortion would really make the track kick.

And that latter just isn't my strong-point; especially when it comes to this type of music (prolly since I've hardly done anything such as this)
Pitch shifting/comb btw is the old obertone filterbank
Cheers Rozman

A bit of camelphat on every channel would do it. That plug is perfect for the job

hmmm, I tried the free one, but it killed the depth and feel so I tossed it out. Perhaps this should be a good track to experiment a little further on to see if I can get it to sound tighter and tuffer. But that'll be for another day since work-duties are calling me any minute now

nice minimalistic track, i like it and would like to hear it again when the mixing and eq'ing is done
Reminds me of x-dream psychomachine with that kick and bassline.

And we can take this huge universe and put it inside a very tiny head, you fold it.

Thanks Krunietz.. I'll likely do another session this week and see where i can improve.
Just a curiosity question for those with a bit more knowledge. Would I need to work a bit more at separate track level first or try to get the master more pumping?
Any more tips on how to tighten this track up more

cool tune mark ( a definate step out of character for you)a bit 4/4 for me but some really nice beat work and that comb filtered noise keeps my interest.

this is really cool.
I think this would sound cool with some kind of acid line bubbling up after a few minutes.
About the mastering, I think for me at least it's only the kick that needs attention (but I'm listening on headphones right now) - I think it would sound cool if you layered a tougher, less flabby kick over what you've got to create a bit more build in the track.
Anyway, my favourite thing from you (but that's cos it's got drums )

Actually given that I used to DJ stuff like this mostly makes it for that not so much out of character. But true it didn't hold my interest so much to create it after years of playing it. Who knows what may happenblaster78 wrote:cool tune mark ( a definate step out of character for you)a bit 4/4 for me but some really nice beat work and that comb filtered noise keeps my interest.
