I found this engaging, but also found myself expecting some kind of build up, change as it progressed, although too much of that would have drawn attention away from the vocals - so it would have had to be subtly & carefully programmed.
I just feel that it would have added more drama/tension to the piece.

Not so much different elements, more creating a rising tension as it progressed? Bolero like I suppose.
Dunno it's hard to explain & maybe it wouldn't work & i'm talking bollocks - I think it stnads on it's own as is.
Putting music to poetry/spoken word, especially a classic one has to be careful to give the words the space & focus they deserve I gues.
