After reading this thread over in the Everything else section I saw Xsub's post of internet labels! How on earth did I miss this? Since when were sooo many albums/compilations/live shows available for free! A whole range of genres too - ambient, various electronica, dance, glitch, pop, rock.
This is Xsubs list in case anyone didnt read the other post:

http://www.exegene.com/
http://www.thinner.cc/main.php

I've only looked at a few of them, and a lot store thier files at archive.org - theres a whole load more of albums there.
Its going to take me ages to download that music, but all of that great stuff to download, listen to and share for free! (most are under a CC license).

i hadn't heard of most of the ones you posted, so cheers for that... can never have enough good music.
earstroke on archive.org are another excellent netlabel - i'd particularily reccommend skytree and wisp.

My personal faves (i'm mostly in to minimal & dubby influenced techno, with a bit of glitchiness):

So much good stuff out there on net labels, it's a revelation when you discover them.

dub inspired electronic music, according to the website, although there's actually a fairly varied collection - seems to be influenced by basic channel style minimal techno, to a certain extent, some microsampling type gear there also (one lp most of the percussion was from field recordings a guy had taken of insects he'd trapped in jars & then recorded the sounds they made etc.)stale bread wrote:what kind of music is thinner
It's quite accesible (imo).
The sister label Autoplate has some nice ambient also.

always been a big fan of http://www.experimedia.net myself. http://www.beergutrecordings.com releases some high quality power noise, if you're interested.
