Two friends wrote a song. I played all music and recorded everything and they sang it. So, how did we do? It was done in three takes at the kitchen table on my laptop with a crazy sharpei and a poodle barking in the background so some of the better takes were not useable. Still, I really love this girls voice. Do you like the song etc. Any comment as usual greatly appreciated. It's called Prison Break (although it may just be a working title, it really doesn't sum up what the song is about IMO).

Worked fine for me.
This was mixed in a kitchen?! Sounds okay to me! I agree, the singer's voice is pretty cool. It sounds like it uses some of the same chords found in Starcraft's Tarren theme.
Cool tune! I did enjoy it. The mix does need a little bit of polishing, but I'm not experienced or knowledgeable enough to tell you what you should and shouldn't do. It's not like it it's unlistenable, either. It's very listenable.

Thanks to everyone who listened (or even tried). I am pretty sure the vocalist is a big AIC fan so nice spotting by you.jebudas wrote:Pretty cool, kinda like The Pretenders meets Alice in Chains!
Vurt, how about if you go to the wusik site, can you download from there?

Well done, man!
For a mix made in a kitchen, it'a a very good job ! The female voice is just fantastic, and the string instruments (guitar & bass) are so coooooooollll.
Just a regret : the end is a bit 'abrupt' for me....
But, who cares ?...

Her voice is awesome. I love how it goes from mellow with a lot of tension then it gets heavier. You really get a really good sound as well as far as sound quality goes. Very well balanced mix. But wow that girl can really sing!
