ola...i really need some info because my own research is not giving me the info i need.

i used to play live in SF [in clubs and as a DnB-centric street busker] up until right before 9-11, which is when i went to europe, where i lived and played until may of last year. after a brief stint in NYC i am trying to find where in the US that electronic music is still hot.

there seems to be a club in most cities here where things are "alright" but i want to know where the cities and clubs are that are truly sick. I do a hybrid laptop dj/wind synth improv set which is a mix of nu jazz, house and broken beat, called beatjazz, and i'm anxious to get back on the road. any info is appreciated.

thanx,

onyx

Well, Detroit Michigan hosts a huge electronic music festival every year, but honestly, I'm not really into that scene (38 years old, married with 4 kids and a day job) and no local radio plays electronic music much anymore once they killed the spirit of WDET last year.

I do have some younger friends that report that the live scene is still pretty hot both in Detroit, and across the river in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
