How to be Strange
instructions
shave yourself all over
spill some glitter up your snout
wear some women's clothes
and talk like those
without an education
check your grandmother for tips
her stylists got the colours
to make you look hip
well that's what i'd do
and that's what i did
record an album
in a european city
choose a producer
one who's almost as strange
well that's what i'd do (hairy lobsters)
and that's what i did (super freaks)
well it worked for me
and it could work for you
-----------------------------------------------------------
eXT, nubile, my organ, paia 9700s modular, minimogueVA, sfz, kjaerhus classics, psp nitro and vintage warmer.
hope i don't get sued
regards

An important lesson in life: how to chase someone.
http://www.myguitaronline.com/tunes/dma ... ochase.mp3
At first I show you how to appear suddenly, to frighten the chased one.
Then, the poor man thinks he's gonna get away.
After that a chase through small alley's.
Finally after some struggle ...

A last minute job here I'm afraid.
The Question is - is it time to swap my guitar for a bus-pass?
I celebrated my 60th birthday this month and this song, in recognition of that fact, is a lesson for all you young whippersnappers out there.
Its called,
Growing Old Disgracefully
Grasshopper pay attention to me
These words will make you free
Just as my Master taught it to me
He called it
Growing Old Disgracefully
If you start when you are young
Your life will be so much fun
No need to live chronologically
When you're
Growing Old Disgracefully
First you find a groove
And then you follow it through
This is the Golden Rule
Unto your own Self be true.
Now this is where people get into a mess
There is too much confusion I must confess
I'm not talking about selfishness
I mean Self with a capital S.
Peace, Love and Harmony
They're OK (taken moderately)
But the place to truly BE is
Growing Old Disgracefully

I laid the sample track by chopping and re-arranging Bob Marley's Wait in Vain. our friend Jay did vocals that were somewhat of a freestyle. This was accompied by Lucas on the Piano and Steve did a little engineering until his computer crashed and he didn't save. I think we all learned about what it meant to work with other people on a project. Its our first song ever and we've been attempting to compose music for about 6 months. Of course lucas(piano) has been playing for a while longer.

Man, after hearing the first batch of songs I wondered, "How can I compete with this?"
After, listening to the page 2 submissions I thought, "Even more brilliance."
Well, truth is, I can't compete or top what I have heard, but I made a song despite myself.
This is how to face the world
Peace,
Jonny
