Lullaby for Matthew

I'm enjoying the KVR Music stream and hearing a lot of great stuff from all of you.
Thought I would post something a bit different. I'm nowhere as good as most of you guys with the electronic stuff, but here is mostly an acoustic song I did last year for my son to use as music for his first year DVD I made for the family.
I'm not a guitar player, and this is also the first Lullaby I wrote. I composed and played the acoustic guitar parts, and the lead electric parts, using some sample libraries. Then, I brought in my favorite local guitar player, Greg Fulton, to recreate my parts with real guitars. He played them exactly as I wrote them, but really brought the parts to life.
Acoustic guitar was recorded with an Audio Technica AT4031 microphone through a Great River ME1NV pre-amp and Cranesong Trakker compressor. The tone, though, is really all from Greg and his great sounding guitar. The electric guitar parts were recorded with an AEA R84 ribbon microphone in front of his amp, again through the ME1NV and Trakker... we were going for a warmer tone on this song, so I picked the ribbon microphone for that warm sound, and did very little EQ during the mix.
Here's the link:

It's a relatively low quality 128Kbps MP3 file which I put online for the guitar player to hear after we finished the song. The full resolution version sounds much better, but this is decent quality and can be streamed by most connections.
This song has NOT been mastered in any way, so it's probably a bit soft on playback.

Thanks for the comments guys! I appreciate it.
Although I am a full time professional recording engineer and producer, I give all the credit to the guitar player for the tones. It's all him and his guitars, and I simply had to capture them as accurately as I could with what I had available to me.
Greg is an awesome guitar player, and a pretty good keyboard player as well (much better than myself), plus an outstanding, classically trained, composer and arranger. He has come up with some killer horn arrangements and charts from simple (mostly unison) horn parts that I've played/programmed for other songs of mine.
He keeps pretty busy with multiple music based gigs, but I'm happy to relay info to him if anyone is ever in need of his services. He's coming back in early next month to do some guitar parts for a new singer/songwriter client of mine whose 4 song EP I'm producing and recording. Greg will also be back sometime not too long after that project is done to do all the guitar parts for my next DVD/CD project, and I'll probably have him do some more horn charts for me for that project as well.
Greg really liked the lullaby as well, and you can tell he really felt it when playing it. We talked about doing a whole CD of lullabies together, but both have been too busy to take that any further.

thanks for link
you two sound good together....with a little mastering the sound will be awesome....really good job on the recording, which it sounds like you took some care with.

Thanks again for the great comments.
Since people seem to like it, here is a version with Greg just doing an improv solo over the top, instead of the melody I wrote. This was a one take improvised solo, with absolutely no editing or punch-ins. Can't remember if it was his very first take, or not, but I believe he only did two takes on this and I just picked the one I liked the best.
