Back to some ultra dense atmoscape work with this one. Down tempo, noisy without really being glitchy, somewhat ambient in parts, I think?

Crunchy, breathing, ambient goodness. Thanks, polyslax, for more polyslax. :)

So many interesting noises and I love that bass bit that pops up in the middle and again towards the end.

Cheers! I know most of my tracks involve a fairly serious time investment... :D

Much appreciated bobsled... glad you're diggin' it!

I may take another stab at the mix. Dealing with 27 tracks on a screen is just a pain!

Would I lie to you?!

I'm sure if I was better organized I could have done it in fewer tracks.

Anyhow, thanks for checking it out!

Yes, I'm no longer just plundering my old tapes, I've returned to something I love doing... sampling. Not creating multi-sampled instruments though but just recording sounds and manipulating them. This track, obviously, is filled with them.

Yup, that's Ableton Live.

what an interesting sound (the 1st of the track). Did you synthesize it in the computer or did you sample something mechanical. It sounds like their is a little noise in the background, makes it more organic.

Thanks Junk! This track is full of stuff I sampled and later chopped up and effected. One of the main sounds you're hearing at the beginning involves running a dog comb through a dog slicker brush. :D Yes, there's plenty of noise retained, not much clean-up other than rolling off some lows to get rid of some hum.
