Made it through the first half of the cd. Nice, clean ambience without getting too noisy. Very smooth and soothing. Nice work.

Nice! Is this really all STS 26? I presume you've done some extensive work replacing loads of your own samples?

Yes, Dimitri has used additional samples. This is one of the nice features within the STS that one can easily use samples (wav/SF2) from other libs and sources too.Madrayken wrote:Nice! Is this really all STS 26? I presume you've done some extensive work replacing loads of your own samples?

Any recommendations for whether Protoplasm or STS is better for this sort of sound? I think I might just pick up one or the other today!

The timing is perfect. I wanted to fill up my mp3 player with ambient stuff with the hope I can zone out in the sun a little during my vacation (considering I have a 5 year old and an 8 year old boy, wish me luck). So, I will immerse myself in your music.
Any other links to recommended free ambient mp3's, let me know.

Basically both are suited, but the STS to be prefferred for it's enhanced flexibilty. The Protosplasm is still to be reworked yet - but due to some other tasks this had to be delayed til March.Madrayken wrote:Any recommendations for whether Protoplasm or STS is better for this sort of sound?
