it's been quite some time since i managed to finish a track. fortunately i got my act together and finished this track i started sometime in january.

Nice sounds and atmospheres, especially in the beginning. Would have called it jazzy more than housey. Your low end needs some massaging over a little. Its kind of muddy in the kick drums and bass. The overall recording is strangely clear in the upper eq range while still sounding lo-fi (probably due to some of the vintage jazz samples?) Short, but decent track.

you're right about the muddyness in the bass/kicks area. i did no mixing at al, let alone mastering. straight out of live with a tiny bit of multiband compresion and exciting.

I liked it. It has a warm tone and yet has a disconcerting chord progression. 'Soundtrack' is right - if extended, I could see this in a movie with some woman engaged in a twisted spoken word commentary on the New York night-lifestyle (ok, that was random

).

Much more loungey than housey. Hard to tell that it's in 3/4 time. Sounds great as is. Very nice background music.

Very cool iD, enjoyed that a bunch! Have to concur with Jazzy on the eq situation. Maybe try taking the exciter off and using a less mud setting to unclutter a bit of the low mids then work on separating your lows a bit. Good to hear your stuff again man, keep at it!

I agree with what jazzyspoon said but once you get the mix sorted you have a fne piece of music.Reminds me of 4hero/Jazzanova.I can imagine been sat in a cafe in Berlin watching the people go by.It is more loungy but i'd love to remix it if i knew how
