I have an Octapad II stored out in the garage that needs a little repair, but I figured that it's probably 20 year old technology at this point!

So given my PC-bound status, why not go with a modern unit that only needs one USB cable that even provides power? (Did I mention that my cat chewed the power supply cord and killed the transformer?) And honestly I don't have enough time to practice my real drums (and never had enough drum mics, cabling, and audio inputs), so I might as well go for the convenience of being able to quantize. ;)

I'll be doing some custom MIDI programming with this to play chordal and melodic drums a la Bill Bruford. Hopefully I can get that system up and running before contest deadline.

Well, well.. The time has come for You, little puppy. Unleash the wolf in yourself.. :box: :hihi:

Eh.. I surely won't be able to overcome my own frustration again, but... who knows? I start to work on my entry every time, every month! And only once I finished it  :D

Erm.. It's always fun anyway..
Good luck, everybody! :tu:

Hmmm, looks like being a very interesting month :D

Mind you those of us with a more (ahem) sedate mature prolly won't do so well

I shall try to come up with something anyway.

Being in line with rule #4 will surely break it for some folks... I can see quite some boots coming up.

4 - The FILE to be named in a format of "yearmonth_artistname_tracktitle"(ie "0706_artistname_tracktitle.mp3"), where the artistname is the same as your KVR name. Please, do not use spaces and special charaters in the filename. IF you are going to tag your mp3, the artist name is to be the same as your KVR name, and the title tag is to be the name of your tune

Oh no :dog:
