Someone from the Something Awful Forums referred me to this forum to try to find people willing to record some vocals for my cover songs. They are mostly acoustic covers of rock songs, but I have been doing a few rock covers of alternative/pop songs too.

If you want to record one (or more!), go ahead and do it (you may want to reply here so that more than one person doesn't do the same track). Once you have it all set you can either email me the isolated vocals and I'll mix them in, or you can mix them yourself and send me over the finished file. One thing I'll mention is I'm not a huge fan of putting a ton of reverb on the vocals.

Anyone who records vocals for any of the songs will have as much rights to the song as me. You can do whatever you want with them (as long as we are both credited).

My email address is groggie@gmail.com (mailto:groggie@gmail.com), and I can be reached on AIM at: ahhgroggie.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me or reply to this thread.

I'll list them in alphabetical order along with any notes about the vocals.

Brand New - The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress ... hings2.mp3
Needs to be multitracked especially for the "I lie for only you..." part to the end.

Coheed and Cambria - Always and Never

Coheed and Cambria - Apollo I: The Writing Writer

Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress ... ecrets.mp3
I'd like to have the vocalist do the "ooh ooh ooh..." backing part right before the last chorus and multitrack it through the chorus as well.

Coheed and Cambria - The Light and the Glass
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress ... glass2.mp3
I'd also like to have this one multitracked for the "pray for us all" part at the end. I ended it a bit differently than the original, so feel free to use your own creative discretion for it.

Coheed and Cambria - Wake Up
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress/wakeup.mp3
I apologize for the quality being overly bad in this one. It was the second song I ever recorded. It is also tuned down two full steps.

Dropkick Murphys - Blood and Whiskey
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress ... hiskey.mp3

Emery - Returning the Smile You Had From the Start
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress/smile.mp3
I'd like it to be multitracked because the original has two singers. Because it's acoustic, I'd prefer it to not have scream-singing (like in the intro, outro, and various other parts by the backup singer).

Incubus - Dig

Living Colour - Flying
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress/flying.mp3
This one is a rock cover.

Madonna - Frozen
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress/frozen.mp3
This is a rock cover as well.

New Found Glory - Too Good to Be

Panic! At the Disco - The Only Difference Between Suicide and Martyrdom is Press Coverage
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress/martyr.mp3
This one should be multitracked for harmonization (especially for that part at the end where the guitar cuts out). Also, if you could do a slight cough (a simple clearing of your throat kind) where all the other sound effects are happening before the bridge.

Static-X - All in Wait
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress/allinwait.mp3

System of a Down - Soldier Side (Intro)
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress/soldierside.mp3
I'd like this one to be multitracked for harmonization.

Zebrahead - Playmate of the Year
http://www.groggie.com/music/inprogress/playmate.mp3
Have some fun with this one; it's a hilarious song.

Edit: Also, I have one song that is original, but it is in the style of Tool. It's all done except for the vocals. I have recorded myself singing, but my voice (as you will soon notice) is terrible. It's called "Open Your Eyes." If you record this one, send over the isolated vocals and I'll edit them in place of mine.
