Echo Voodoo -- The Truth. A. David Byrnes. B. We've all run into this dude on teh net. C. A rare case of convincing whiteboy rap.
Markleford -- Oh No! Mr Sloppy Is Here! -- Who doesn't like sloppy and funky? Reminds me of my own bass and guitar playing. Tres King Crimson, bad night.
Mellotronaut -- Froscheir -- Christ knows what it's about, but it's a good approximation of Lumpy Gravy Zappa, which is 105% cool with me. A tuba solo would have made it perfect.
S. Hush -- Solar: The Golden Drips of the Orange. Much cleverer than it seems. And very Europop, circa 1992.
Oddbods Finger -- White City -- Even if he did barf on my entry, this is pretty convincing pop writing and well produced. C section is a bitch.
Col.G -- Mouse Ate My Banana -- Cos of the guitar solo. My vote: feed the whole thang to your dog/adopt the mouse. Do no harm to your fellow creatures
Beanpole -- Failure -- For reasons already stated. True to its Scots rock roots, a little Smiths/Morrissey, real pop music.
Me109 -- I Saw Her Standing There: The Sequel -- For sheer cheek (and also, excellent Beatles rhythm guitar channeling)
JohnnyQuest -- Loungeslacks -- Some 'Nuggets'-like sixties psychedelia channeling going on here. ba-ba-ba-ba....
Polite Company -- Tracking ABAC -- starts off rather wobbly, but there's some musical intelligence at work here.
