ftp keeps timing out, so i can't send out the it files for remixing.... i think some of my arranging still needs work, but each pattern is programmed, no loops.... just arranged patterns of one shot samples... i'm getting better...

the openmpt file you need to remix the song..... keep in mind the drums are keymapped, so each note is a different drum hit..... :hihi:

an addendum to the readme- i may have used some 3rd party (free) impulses for this track (within voxengo) - just checked and i used the following impulses -
Fender Bassman NeumannUi87.wav and Ampeg SVT SM57 off Axis.wav - you can find these easily on the web.... also micrasync is tacked on the end..... (get it at doveraudio.org) http://www.doveraudio.org/freeplugs/micrasync.zip

thanks for the positive feedback... cheers.

i don't know if the music trackers picking it up right... i fixed the filename, sorry.

enjoyed. :-) good sound, fun melogroove. i kept waiting for something DIFFERENT to happen, a foil to the main material, but it never did. on further listenings i let go of my expectations and then it was kind of cool that it just kept going on and on and on ... :-)

Nice! A back-to-basics approach, with interesting rhythms in here.

yeah, folks familiar with my music may note most of my tracks aren't very structured... and i'm trying at this post to make music that's more listening for regular people..... i will continue to produce slippery psychedelic noise fsu tunes though too....
i've apparently got extremely throttled dsl from hughes net.... get a couple hundered megs a day or something.....

anyway, i'll get the modplug files up as soon as i can, i'd like to finish this song, but i think the only way to make it "normal" is to work with other people... i'm adhd or something, and tracks just get more wierd.... the arrangements, like you were saying, could have used some work, maybe i'll do that when this mixtape is done playing.....

i used to many of the slow patterns, and should have featured more of the "exciting" ones....

You've done some nice programming here. I like the drum sounds as well. It sounds like the backbone for a nice drum n' bass track.

P.S. With my PC up and running again I've downloaded all of your plugins and I'm loving them!

nice... i kind was kind of inspired.... i might get to set up my real drums within a couple months.... modplug is such an intuitive interface for drumprogramming.... it helps to keymap the drum samples.... and practice..... but then i get all these really fun patterns.... i usually write about 3-4 15 second songs with the same samples before i get to engrossed to delete what i've written.....

This is great Dover ... cheers man :D

sounds a bit gear-demo-y, but some very tasty crunchy wholesome beat goodness and extreme funkiness in there. finger-snaps particularly delicious. :)

i'll be updating my page soon, now i've got some time.

(i believe the gear demo sound is due to ALL I EVER FINISH IS FREAKING SOUND DEMOS!!!)

you get used to hovering in a single audio band, or flittering around with one fx process, trying to completely center on the concept and feature it.... makes for some cut and dry habituals

that's why i'm trying to make more complete music.... meh

working on a riddim for that rastabox in dc .... it's fun....

Post

after digging through the dc list (i think i've dl'd most of them now) i'll have plenty of new toys to work on this track with....
