While this is technically the second track I've composed, it is really the first one that is complete - meaning I didn't abandon it halfway through out of frustration and "writer's" block.
Please let me know what you think - I think it really comes together best at around 2:19 - but then again I don't know much and am still learning.

Hope the subject matter doesn't alienate anyone, especially your's truly. Thanks for your input in advance!

I totaly love the feel it carries. Vocals are kinda too quite, maybe you should pump them up a bit, but just a bit. That filtered voc on 2:30 cca i don't like.
Overall the song is way to repetetive, there are no dynamics, no story, although i like those sequenced guitars. Maybe you should think about kicking those vocals out, and put some synth lines in, groovey bassline, effects, etc
Not bad for a "first" try.

Thanks for the reply eek. The repetetive nature of the track and the slow progression to different sounds was intentional. I was trying to convey the notion of the buildup to war and insanity. I'll try to work some synth lines and basses as you suggested to spice things up. Thanks again.

Cool track. A collage of video CNN snipets played in my head. The samples/vocals, being that they are the muscle behind the message, should be a little bit more clear in the mix IMO.
Nice little anti-war diddy.

Hi Jazzy,
Thanks for the input. When you say the vocals should be clearer, do you mean less effects or louder? I know the MLK speech has a lot of effects on it but that was more to give it a futuristic sound as opposed to an old recording - maybe it is too much? The last "injustice" clip is much lower in volume that I intended. Always open to suggestions - only problem is I promised my new bride I would not work on any tracks for a month after this last upload

Well, it won't kill this track to leave it as it is. I was referring to better EQing more than volume. I like the effects, its just that the samples aren't as clear in the higher ranges as the music so they feel buried. You could also choose to raise the volume a little instead of EQ if you wanted to.
Happy wife, happy life. Leave the track alone for a while then.
