I think it sucks that one of the musicians I would most like to work with (zeoy) lives on the other side of the globe from me.

aw, c'mon man...I for one would like to hear what you'd do on this kind of thing -- in fact I discovered this topic from seeing your sig in the right sidebar, curious about what kind of groove you were playing on, a little disappointed you weren't playing after all.

Zeoy, kind of a Lonnie Mack vibe you've got happening there, good job!
Yes. That's a human ear, all right.

:oops:

Well, if zeoy and hero are keen, I'd be happy to grab a version from zeoy with some comping, and I'll comp under him and then have a solo?

:)

I'll try to upload a zip with all the required tracks separately. Can you use ogg files? (I prefer them over mp3 because they don't have the timing issues of the latter)

That sounded excellent. The drums and guitar are great. As said before the bass sucks but it is not so noticeable with the guitar.

You really need to use something like ManyBass to get a live bass sound.

here you are www.artmaster.gr/zeoy/Exported.zip
110 bpm aligned tracks with one empty bar at the start
I disabled any volume, panning. I also removed the reverb (I had used the freebie PSP Springverb in both guitar tracks). However, I "printed" the ampsim and echo FX. Zip contains herodotus rhythm track as ogg with the same length as the two guitar tracks.

@morelia: nice job mate :tu:

You inspired me zeoy :wink:. To get off my ass and have a go at it that is. And it was fun. Thanks herodotus, I love these little jam sessions.

I had some dramas, so sorry about the delay. Hope you like it!

Incidentally, I played some basic bass on it, as hero gave me the drums separately - it's just one phrase looped, but seems to sit in the mix ok :)
