Nice blend of sounds you have there! I see you opted for a dryesk bass. Not that it needs any reverberation but was this a conscious choice??

perfectly acceptable little ditty. drums sound swell.

I do think that something this commercial in intent might require a fatter bass sound, and jump out at you a bit more, it isn't a real exciting mix.

it's obviously midi bass, in other words, it didn't convince. I did like the drums.

thanks buddy. i'm glad you liked it

i'm not going to work further on this one
but more groovyness and at least a bit of reverb and eq on the baseline are good tips ;)

cheers

thanks

not realy - i guess i worked so quick on this one
i forgot a lot to do. one of these things is melting the sounds together
like for instance can be done with a slight touch of some reverb

Well the reason I asked was because there are times when a dryer sounding bass can be useful. I was just wondering if in this case you chose not to apply as much to it to perhaps bring it out more.

You've got a point there

Keeping a sound dry might keep it "out of the mix"

When intended a kewl effect. In my case the baseline needs

A filtering
B A chorus or detune to fatten it
C Amp simulation to bring it more alive
D Reverb ..just a bit to melt the sound into the mix
;)

anyway. its not really an inspiring track ;)

Nice song Remco. I agree the mix could improve a bit, but it's a lovely track as is. Thanks for sharing :tu:
