I will definitely post Seismic's master once I get it and keep the original available in case anyone else wants to have a go.

We already had one of those about 5 months ago  I failed semi-miserably although I learnt from the experience.

Thanks for giving it another spin!

This is Seismic's superb version. It preserves the character of the original and it makes everything louder and clearer without sounding over-compressed. Fantastic! :wheee:

this is fisherspooner "clouds" anyone familiar with their
music knows they have some of the cleanest, tightest recordings.

the thin red line is the average.

Very interesting. Which spectrum analyzer are you using? Does it average the entire track? I am hoping to learn how to do this myself.

its by SevenPhases

and no, not the entire track. i just snapped a screen shot at the same
dense part of the song.

Great song! Seismic's version sounds airy-er and more wispy. Grainier, too. I think that's the general trend among the remasters - a flattening of the sound(more cohesive rather than separate parts, if I'm saying this right) and more brightness.

I see. My DAW Samplitude has that built in. I need to start using it more. Thanks.

Thanks for giving it a listen. Seismic did a terrific job.

Thanks guys. Glad you liked it, but remember, I had an advantage over layzer. I had two goalposts (Frantz' mix and layzer's master), plus I had the hindsight of reading the various comments on here (especially himalaya's), so I just tweaked three parameters with all of these factors in mind. It was a team effort for sure.

Those spectrum graphs are interesting

it was fun! i dont think there is such a thing as a "perfect" master...
as the perfect master is in the ears of the beholder :hihi:
