The foliage was so thick, that when the gorilla tipped over he disappeared completely. Was he going to sleep ? It reminded me of when I go to sleep

There are 5 « habituated » families of Gorilla in the Bwindi Forest out of 50 or 60 of them. You are allowed to get as close as 2 meters from them accompanied by local rangers for as long as one hour. It took us nearly three hours of walking under quite heavy rain to reach this group.
This one (the dominant male of the group who actually performed some chest banging for us – no record unfortunately) is just sliding down the slope to move away from us.
I came across many wild animals during this trip, it is quite amazing how little most of them actually pay attention to human presence.
