I don't think I've ever been the first to post before. Makes me feel kind of funny, like when we had to climb the rope in gym class. (I just loved Wayne's World)
I hope to be able to contribute this month. As some fairy tales are dark in nature, I would hope that I could channel my inner "dark witch" and come up with something appropriate. Or in the case of Snow White, do something in 7/4. We'll just have to wait and see.

Just close your eyes. You'll find all you need with your mind.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this one a shot, being an amateur researcher of mythology and folk/fairy tales worldwide. WAY too much source material to inspire!

I was gtting all excited. This is a theme that should suit me well. But I just realised I can't join in this month. I'll be away from home for nearly a week from the 30th.
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

My initial thought was no, but Carroll called it "my fairy-tale" and who am I to argue with him?
It's always possible some voters will disagree, but give it a go.

I have read a few HC Anderson things over the weekend . . . and I just can't do it in literalus. What I'm going to submit a bit later this month is a "Fairy Tale" piece with it's own story.
If anyone wants to disqualify me for using the wrong reference in a "Fairy Tale" original tune . . . I'll accept that like a man

Seems even quieter than normal this month! Hope we get some more entries over the weekend.
Mine's submitted anyway. I always thought the 'big bad wolf' thing was a bit allegorical.

It's Easter weekend and dangerous over-eating time. Looks bad songwriting-wise. I've been quite busy on the guitar practice this month actually but no connection to fairy tales. Well, there'll still be 4 days to go...

Can anyone else download aggravation's entry 'Biancabella and the snake'? When I try, I just seem to get a file called 'download_repair.htm'

I was sorely tempted by the theme this month but just haven't had time.
But .... coincidentally I have been working on some fairy tales recently.
All part of my long term project to get my LadyD back into singing.
I've just posted one from last year, in the cafe.
Far too long for the contest at just under 8 minutes you may still enjoy it.
