I use Fl Studio as my favorite DAW, although I also know Ableton Live as I used it for an year or so.
My setup is
M-Audio Fast Track MkII
Connected with a pair of Alpha Audio HP Two headphones
and a Behringer UMX61 as MIDI controller
Then I have a Rode NT1-a microphone which I don't use because I don't have any real instrument, even if I play Guitar and Pianoforte..and also 'cause i do electro, you know.
I also have some speakers but they are just..10€ speakers, totally useless
I mostly compose Melodic Progressive House (See Nihilum, JackLNDN) or at least, that's what I'd like to do ._.
I lack on song structure, of every kind, and totally suck when coming at harmonies..
So now to the FLP..Here's one I made that afternoon, not my usual style but you get the idea..After making it when coming to the drums part I felt a little inspired by the F**k Buttons, in particular the Jónsi - Tornado Remix (check it out)
I've used Sylenth1 as my Synthesizer, and the only external VST is Valhalla Shimmer on the Hat for some cool reverb, but it's not totally necessary..

Apart from the fact that I didn't used Sweeps Down and Impact, I couldn't go further with this project..What could I do to bring my music to the next level? Do I necessarily need to buy a real hardware synthesizer and record it or what?
