I put a new song in my music website called "Forever Today" (the one on top). The song has lots of synths and some electric guitar. Please tell me how you like this song and how it can be improved (I will return the favor if you wish). Here is the link:

Side note: found out my song "Space Rocket to Mars!" is going to get played on an internet radio show on March 29th on Skycast Radio at this link:

The radio show starts at 7 pm Pacific Standard Time (USA); I'm not sure when I will be on.

Forever Today - Love the ARP on this one. Seems like there is a lot going on in this track. You really have to listen carefully to get all the parts. I think this is one of the most complex arrangements you've ever done. Really enjoyed the listen.

Space Rocket To Mars! - Wow, surf rock. This SO reminds me of the B52s. Very well done. I can see why this was #1 for so long. Congrats on the radio play.

If you could check out "The Creation Of Man" that would be great. Thanks!

Hello Aaron, just been listening to Forever Today.
Excellent stuff mate. It's got a great 80s vibe to it.
The arrangement is solid and reminds me of A-ha 's early albums. Excellent use of panning too through out.
Top stuff.

The song had a promise - until the vocal came in. If you sing, I'd recommed you to use more upper head voice, and falsetto - obviously you can sing, to some degree, but the "raspy rock" phrasing may not be one of your strenghts.

What comes to the music, I think both melody- and harmony-wise, you should try to be more interesting, original. No matter the presented genre, everyone should learn the classical fundaments.

Harry_HH,
Thank you for listening to my music and replying. I can't picture myself singing falsetto, that's not my thing. Very few men are good at it and make it work in popular music. Will now seek out your music.

Concerning the use of your voice, my suggestion for using upper head voice, or even falsetto, is based on my opinion, that when you use less forced voice, e.g. in 1.08-1.16, you sing much better, both on pitchwise, vocal character-wise, and the amiability of the end-result.

Disclaimer: I’ve done some vocal music production, mainly pop and jazz, i.e. my taste may not represent you preferencies (although I like genres from fado to Zappa, country to Schubert).

Forever Today
Liked the intro, nice gated bass.
Mellow melodic line.
1:15 nice breakdown of energy.
Quirky section just after which was pretty good. I'm a sucker for guitar solos, so enjoyed that part.
My only thought was, "I would like to hear a major chord section" somewhere. Do you have any majority major chord songs?
Enjoyed it overall though. :tu:

Here's my latest one for your opinion:

Hello Aaron, I like it because it is mysterious sounding and I do not think it needs improvement as it is it's own sound.
If you would provide an opinion on any of mine, feel free to leave a comment. Great work by the way! Very unique sounding.

You won't believe it, but there are actually people living in this world outside you.

Harry_HH,
Thank you for clarifying.

Bansaw,
Thank you for listening and commenting, I appreciate it! I guess I often go for a moody sound. I often play major key guitar chords on songs. I will now check out your music.
