Hello people, this is my first post. Nice to meet all of you. These five songs are from the newest demo of my band, Itopia. We live in Sweden and every once in a while we get together to play loud music and eat greasy pizzas. Suggestions and stuff are very welcome both regarding the mixing (I did it) and the music.
Oh and I play the keyboards, for this I´ve mainly used the z3ta+. I use it live as well, love it.

Not really a rocker here, but I agree with Tt-willy wrote:
Good sound, great song and one cool voice (only listened to 'set your mind' though); will catch some more when I am more up to date here

hih, old style METEL.
Mix isn't bad, but i found the hi-hats generally a bit too loud (seemed to be much louder than the ride...) and the snare sounds quite tinny and too low in the mix...needs to sound like he was really hitting it hard!

man those kick ass. hard as hell to decide my favorite, but I think its going to have to be "Picture". just loved the guitars in that song - they were so choppy and just plain rockin'. Liked the synths a lot too. The piano sound wasn't my favorite but then it grew on me. Vocals were top notch as well as drums and bass. Care to share any recording/mixing secrets??? i do a lot of heavy guitar/synth stuff too and recording and mixing is always a bitch, but you guys pulled it off wonderfully.

it always just freaks me out when people sing about stuff, like going here and doing this, and if you go there and this happens then this will happen but on the other hand et c. maybe if the culture were superliminal it would have a different effect, but whatever style it is, songs with ifs, ands or buts are like bizzare alien worlds where you're dropped into and some giant mouth is singing about logical conditions and requirements, but like operaaaaaa-a-a-a-a-a-a.
i was soooo stoned and we went to see this film.. not dangerous liaisons, came out at the same time.. about sexual intrigue in french renaissance.. is that dangerous liaisons or the one with the rabbit? but i was sooooo stoned and it was just like 2 hours of these giant speaking powdered faces making these extreme expressions, like what the f**k.. the whole huge screen was their face i had no f**king clue what was going on. exactly the same sort of thing. weird!

you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

Hehe, I don´t care to much for lyrics actually. Unless they´re real good of course. Thing is I don´t mind real lousy lyrics . But xoxos, hmm, you´re not making much sense to me :/
A well anyway, I´ve tweaked the mix a little more after listening to advice from friends and others.

Set Your Mind
Guitar introduction sounds really nice. The guitar has a really punchy sound, and the melody is attractive too. The engineering on the track is evenly spaced without any abnormalties that I could hear.
My only gripe would be the vocal. The performance just seems insipid, lacking the excitement that the music behind it requires.
Has a real pop element, like a softer version of Godsmack or Disturbed.
Means To An End
Really like the main riff that comes in with the drums. Again, don't much like the vocals - I think maybe it's the singers voice, more my fault than yours - catchy chorus and bridge. Everything sounds phat!
Song III
Nice melodies, but I didn't like the sort of downwards arpeggio that you guys put in before the verse came in. Its music I definitely could listen to though, I wouldn't turn it off if it were on TV.
Picture
Piano at the start sounds sort of GMish, I'd replace the module, it sounds too clinical and not lively enough, seems a bit too loud too. Really like the guitar melodies on this one.
Oblivion
Wasn't really feeling the introduction. Seemed more dissonant than it needed to be. Got better as the verse came in, liking the subtle use of the keyboard. you can just make it out.

I only listened to Picture (dial up here) It's some pleasant pop. It avoids sounding monotonic. Personally, I can't take the melodrama.
