Hey, how 'bout that. Fifth place...
Thanks everyone for the votes, and especially for the many reviewers this month.
Fitch, your track was much more deserving than my little bit of pop pablum.... I thought you revised your track early on when someone mentioned it was over the limit? Ah, well.. You're a winner in my book, anyway.
Now how 'bout choosing a theme for next month, Boy Franky Cranky, or whatever it is donke is calling you these days...

*cough* indeed. (note to self - future Jimmy Kranky references/taunts to be met with invective and vitriolic derision. In that order.)
First off - I forgot to say in my earlier post
A major "thank you" to the plugin developers who offered up prizes this month. We really appreciate your support fellas
The scuzzphuts went out for ice cream this evening and discussed the theme for next month. (as an aside, the scuzzphut juniors - 8 and 11 - both thought that UTM should have won. Thanks guys )
This is what we came up with.
The theme for next month is :
"Submit your 2 minute Sci-Fi Movie Theme "
Submit a theme for a science fiction movie.
You may add a paragraph to your submission to describe the film (space opera? bleak dystopian vision? dumb schlocky schwarezenneger vehicle?)
You may also submit a remix of a recognised, existing sci-fi movie theme.
Finally, don't blame me. It was a group decision and you know what happens when committees get together.

Great idea! Love it. Sci Fi film score sounds great.
Too bad you are allowing remixes though. It's so damm easy to go grab a MIDI file off the net. Anyway, mine will be original material..

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who voted for my track and who wrote a review! This is the first time I participated here and the feedback as well as the chance to let others hear what you make is fantastic!
Oh - and I love the new theme... now, where's the shortcut to my sequencer again...

I suppose, yes, but I would have preferred all original material, but hey, you won You pick .
You got me all excited about this contest. I am at work trying to come up with a catchy melody in my head. It's going to be hard to do a 2 minute piece with this theme but I am up to a challenge ( my orchestral songs usually go over 10 minutes ).
