oops, two pages of Music Cafe to catch up...
i'll do my reviews duty asap
in the meantime i post this recent track in which a friend of mine sings a traditional folk song...
note to the traditional folk lovers, the traditional folk feel is not there anymore, sorry...
and Céline has a beautiful voice, i can tell you. a pity that you won't be able to appreciate it...
as always, comments are more than welcome.
cheers

this is a very tasty piece. from the soft pads at the beginning, to the funky beat.. the music on it's own has a very other-worldly sound to it, like shrouded in fog..then the vox comes in.
really cool work, I think it's the best I've heard from you.

Extremely cool! This will find it's way to a special folder here.
If you haven't heard much of him, you really must investigate the American composer George Crumb. One great and easy thing to get of his is "Black Angels" as performed by the Kronos Quartet. On that same album, they do a piece based on a Romanian folk song by the composer Istvan Marta. It's called "Doom. A Sigh" and it's very unusual in how the vocal is incorporated into the piece.

I can only stand in line here to applaud you on this great great track.
It has an illusive quality to make me dream in bountiful colors and strange shapes. You may say you were lucky on the mixing on this one. I can only hope you'll be lucky next time too. Most wonderful production with a lot happening.
