Not quite finished but quite a departure for me. Not sure if I should carry on for many more chilled bars or bring to a close!??? any comments would be greatly appreciated

Nicely done, I like this.
I would have been ok with it being 4 - 6 mins longer.
Although, I believe the tune could benefit from a softer kick and rounding off the top of the hats.
Length I think is proportional to how long you can hold interest.

Listened on a set of hi-fi speakers this time, (my production system is off-line), instead of the kitchen PC speakers, and the percussion hits sound much rounder...although a softer kick,(less thud and attack) might work better imo...and maybe thin out the hats just a bit with LP filtering to see how that sounds.nickski wrote:Thanks for the comments annode.

The kick is surely too thuddy for something this chill imo.
I'd rather hear the percussion not as present in the mix, but enough that the listener senses the groove that keeps the music moving along. In other words let the listener trip on the music,vocal and dialog with less attention focused on the percussion.
