This is a new track called "Slooow" off my EP Late Modern.
I was really inspired by underground grime when writing this track, things released on Night Slugs, Macabre Unit etc. So I set out to create a club floor track fueled almost by pure energy and aggression, with a simple and impactful bassline, focusing more on the timbre and energy than on harmonical complexities.
The track is a free download (press "More") and also available on Spotify:

The synth at 0:59 enters the song too abruptly. Maybe you should put some sort of transition to prepare the listener to what's coming. Actually, that synth could be a little lower in volume without affecting the mood of the song.
The percussion work is very cool and you made good use of the stereo field. But the kick sounds a little spiky on crappy speakers (I listened both on good and bad speakers). Maybe some filtering around 250-500 hz could help it fits better in the mix. The bassline is very cool and sound good on both environments.
Just my opinion, of course. Overall very good track.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.
Glad you like track!
All very good feedback and I think you are right in terms of levels and mixing. Been two months now since I finished the master and looking back at the mix, I agree with you. Would also need to lower the hi-hat pattern a few DB, I think.dark_virus wrote:The synth at 0:59 enters the song too abruptly.
