I also relistened to spots of Time Flies.
It does sound thicker and has more interest. I think Time Flies Like An Arrow could have a shorter version with a fade out at around 5:30 besides the full version if need be.

Cheers, having spent three days taming it, I could certainly attest that editing it down 2.5 mins seems attractive
But aye, has been occurring to me that a radial rejig could be quite fun. Maybe go for an old 12" remix feel paring it back to drums bass and a focal point.

Anyway, here is a bit of a radical restructuring:
