Hello,
I took a number and waited in this Kafkaesque office.
A somewhat surreal atmosphere is given by the acoustic drums and harmonies flanked by a stubborn bass and wrapped in environmental noise.
Mixed without any plugins in Mixbus32C.

Enjoy !
Cheers.

I like this as a mood piece! The surreal nature is definitely part of what makes it interesting, if slightly untethered. It has more of a soundtrack-like quality as a result, which is a context where I could see this track working well.
Though melodic, I felt as though the melodies were not really the core of the piece, but served more to guide the music forward and create the impression of moving through time. They were just one component, taking place within a bigger composition that was less linear and progressive and more about the mood of the moment.

Voted KVR's resident drunk Robert Smith impersonator (thanks Frantz!)

Mix update. A bit punchier, a bit more uniform in a way. Same link.
The screen shot is from the updated mix before mastering.
Cheers
