Hi good people,
I just finished this piano piece with synth added. All mixed in Studio One with Acustica Audio new Gold 2 Piano was recorded on a nice vintage Neve 8066.
It's not mastered yet. It will be mastered in Nashville (Welcome to 1979) on tape.
Hope you enjoy
Thank you

Quite beautiful, and stunning later on... would urge you to mix Classical with Urban HipHop or Trance to geet a feel for some different style, might make you a superstar, kids these days .
Very nice piano playing, the drums are subtle, and deserve to have a full orchestra playing as well...

Have to listen to anything that says VANGELIS in the title bar! :0)
I enjoyed listening...love the piano sound and the playing...although you might want to watch that sustain pedal at times?
Without doubt it has good quality Vangelis style moments in there - both melodically and texturally. It's full of interesting and effective ideas.
For me, though, it simply didn't work 100% as a complete continuous piece...
Maybe a little too fragmented in terms of it's musical content at times for my ear?
Synth aspects didn't really quite gel totally effectively with the piano for me...felt like 'add-ons' rather than core elements of the piece...something that would never happen in a V track! :0)

An enjoyable listen. You clearly have skills although none of the melodic ideas are sticking in my head after two listens. I would like to hear synth backing throughout but that's just my taste.
I think the vintage Neve and tape mastering will be lost on most listeners but I guess it is important to you.

You play well and have good ideas but the piece is a bit messy.
Jazz Clarinet Rocks - well sort of Swings anyway!

It's your opinion if you like boring, safe and predictable music. that's not my cup of teaJazzyClarinetMan wrote:You play well and have good ideas but the piece is a bit messy.

I'd agree with this. It sounded like a piano piece with some synths tacked on. The piano sounds great, the synths don't quite gel for some reason. Hard to put my finger on it. Doesn't sound wrong or anything, just like a bit of an afterthought.ChamMusic wrote:Synth aspects didn't really quite gel totally effectively with the piano for me...felt like 'add-ons' rather than core elements of the piece...something that would never happen in a V track! :0)
It's a very promising idea though, maybe you just need to focus a bit more on getting the parts to gel together?
Voted KVR's resident drunk Robert Smith impersonator (thanks Frantz!)

Actually, I have a particular penchant for avant-garde, experimental jazz - possibly boring to some, but never safe or predictable!Plajia wrote:It's your opinion if you like boring, safe and predictable music. that's not my cup of teaJazzyClarinetMan wrote:You play well and have good ideas but the piece is a bit messy.
Much of the music I really like is well organized and tightly structured. This doesn't sound that way to me - I think it's got lots of good ideas and great playing but lacks a tight shape. Looking at the comments of others here, I'm not alone in thinking this.

It sounds nice but it sounds like an album taster of different songs.
