Following a month of silence we depart from the abrasive and explorative sounds of the previous two releases and arrive back in familiar territory with the sometimes melancholic, sometimes uplifting meanderings of Paranerd. For several years he has been making the kind of music that pulls you into reflection and wishful thinking with layers upon layers of playful, luxuriant melodies and unbroken style.

Hailing from Canada, Paranerd's songs individually reveal themselves like being lost in specific thought. Continuously reflective themes rather than catchy clips with the occasional exclamation point. Unraveling the most vulernable moments. While many electronic musicians utilize repetition and hooks, he has an introverted and personal approach to writing that puts you in a position of wondering where the layers of melody or mood will go next.

As so many favorite albums are created for so many of us, "cold reflect" is the kind of music that someone can identify with. A fitting title for such an emphatic release... And while his style may not be exclusive, his sound is intriguing, personal, and recognizable.

Nice tunes ! Paranerd has a ton of skill, the mood is more subtle and laidback ... but you fans of autechre, boards of canada i'm sure will find some solace in this release

Listened to Caught your tumble and slumber lovers while downloading the album for a full listen laters.

Pleasant sounds and melodies for a relaxed listen for which I will look forward to the full listen. Not much time to review the entire album though.
