Yes a bassline could have uplifted it but I had no fitting lying round here

It's an odd piece of music that lures for certain. Been listening to this one now a couple of times and what I am noticing us how to my ears it feels as if the drums seem to be disconnected somehow. Especially the kick seems to eat a lot of punchy energy somehow; i think toning/pitching it down a bit might put it better in the mix, but that is just guessing.

In a way I agree with Krim on the bass part, but listening to it there allready is a bass line, but the sound you used is a bit vague and hidden.

Nonetheless a very intriguing listen Stephan.

so you think the kick needs work,

I loved the sound, it is drumatic3 and I felt it sounded quite nice.

and you´re right there is a "almost hidden bassline".

I didn´t find a good sound for another bass and wanted to finish it. but maybe I start again the work on the bass. Since it seems to be a good base and needs a bit polishing.

I´m also waiting for our showdown next friday. Maybe I can leave work early.
But lets e-mail before.
Anyway, I´m waiting for the cover design

to me the sound of the drums is nice,it just doesnt sit in the mix,at the start that is but then as the more sounds comein its sort of taken in.

as for the track on the whole reminds me of something?possibly ozrics after a fashion,altho needs a flute
