Hi folks
I've made a remix of Depeche Mode's song "waiting for the night" from a live acapella. It's a lot faster, from 92bpm to 127 and now in a major key, and was all made in FLStudio 5
I hope you like it!

about 6 megs I think

That sounds good. I mean, if it was a track on a Depeche Mode CD, it wouldn't feel out of place. Did you create the instrumental parts, or are they sampled from another recording?

I don't know the original, but this makes for a really good club mix version. Nicely done.
This wouldn't be out of place on actual DM singles b-side, but you'll have to come up with a clever mix name. DM and New Order always had the best remix subtitles, stuff like psychotic cactus mix and swingshift melon mix.

hey thanks! I've been listening to the esau radio tracks the last few days - v nice. Makes me wish I didn't get bogged down in fancy production tricks....
I just made this track for fun and maybe for the amusement of Mode fans. Maybe they'll find it and check out my other tracks

Very much enjoy this
There is however one instrument on which I can't seem to put my finger that seems to have too sharp and punchy an attack and almost sounds like a little click. Then again maybe it is something else causing this; like I said I can't put my finger on it really

Thanks, glad you liked. They are fairly straightforward, designed to be the sounds of synths singing. Kind of a down-home vibe.Jbravo wrote:hey thanks! I've been listening to the esau radio tracks the last few days - v nice. Makes me wish I didn't get bogged down in fancy production tricks....
I wonder if "porchtronic" is taken yet as a style?
I will do just that.Jbravo wrote:I just made this track for fun and maybe for the amusement of Mode fans. Maybe they'll find it and check out my other tracks

nice tune, for me the voice comes in far too late and should be brought more to the front as the actual music doesnt merit the amount of ear space its occupying

big pesh fan here...know it was not done to be serious work...so I think I can say this;
was way too fast and not dark enough for me to really enjoy.
Must have been fun to do though?

thanks annode, yeah I wanted to completely transform something and make it quite different. Not slow or gloomy enough for real Mode fans!
